Week 6: Class evaluation

Wow this is it, this is the end. Psychology has been what I would like to say... a love/ hate relationship I love how the class is chill and relaxed but then the tests are pretty challenging, I guess because its an AP class that's why I hate it.
What did you like best about the class?

I like how when we took notes and had power points you didn't just read it but you explained and had your own input as if the power point is just notes for yourself, I hate how other teachers just read off the notes and expect us not to fall asleep. I like how you kept me awake especially because it was 7th period and I was dead tired by then.

What was your favorite activity or project?

My favorite was probably the video since we all collaborated together and it was fun being able to shoot the video with people outside of just your own period. Overall I had fun being able to come up with my own parody with the help of my friends.

What didn't you like about the class?

How during the notes you would zoom into the nasty parts and I guess my tolerance level isn't that high but I for one do not like to see zoomed in pictures of how a crack head looks like.

What do you think I should leave out next year?

I think you should leave out the quizzes and the tests and just do fun extra credit with food!

Do you have any suggestions or ideas for things I could do next year in AP Psych?

You should do more extra credit with food!!!

Also...what is the one thing you really need me to go over next week to review for the final???

The brain, disorders, and possibly more disorders.

Would you rather watch Solitary or Sybil?

Sybil! Something different from Solitary please.

Week 5: How good is your memory

Let me just start off by saying that I think my memory is quite decent since I remembered to do this blog!
1) Picture Short Term Memory Test: I was looking at a picture for 30 seconds and bam next thing you know, I had to write down the items I remembered, although I don't remember them in order I got 14 out of 20! I'm pretty surprised that I even got any but I do like visual things rather than verbal so I guess I had an advantage here. Here's the pictures I had to remember

2) http://www.psychologistworld.com/memory/test1.php : So this test was pretty easy, well at least I thought so. It was pretty straight forward by giving us a list of words we had to remember and rewrite them in 30 seconds, I got a score of 7 out of 12 which is pretty average according to them and as stated by them its best to memorize in bundles of 7, I'll make sure to start studying things in 7's rather than just trying to cram it all in at once.

Week 4: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Usually you save the best for last correct? I guess that's why Christmas is last in the year! I love Christmas I mean its not all about receiving obviously but the whole giving part just warms my heart and to be able to see the happy faces just makes my year!

I believe that all holidays may bring job but along with those joys have to also bring along depression. According to this link http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/how-happiness/201312/why-arent-we-happier-during-the-holidays tells us that depression is actually common because of all the anticipation of everything going right, there's always that one wrong move which causes people to stress over it and possibly grow depressed because of that reason.

I do agree that I may grow depressed just because of the time and the thought I put into gathering presents especially because I do last minute shopping and the stores usually run out of sizes and anticipated to give the best gifts but I can't because of the stupid store's low amount of stock! However, this year I will....try my best to shop early to get the best gifts and hopefully in return I get the best gifts myself! Have a happy holiday everyone! Merry Christmas!
